Yoko Devereaux Closing

Notified by e-mail around 30 minutes ago, Yoko D, a contemporary menswear brand, is closing after it’s parent company “(Wing Son Garments / WS & Company) has been forced – from internal financial issues – to withdraw funding.

Not one of my favorite brands, but they did some solid work, and I have 3 of their items in my wardrobe. If you’re interested in picking up some cheap items, they’re having a liquidation sale; it looks like a lot of the stuff is on-line already.

”** Yoko Devereaux begins its liquidation sale ONLINE [www.yokod.com] on Monday 29th June 2009.
** The IN-STORE liquidation sale – a 2 day farewell to the brand - will take place between Tuesday 30th June and Thursday 2nd July. Prices start at $5 for t-shirts, $20 for wovens and cardigans, and $40 for all outerwear. The hours will be extended for this 2 day period (8am to 9pm).
The sale will continue Monday 6th July to Friday 10th July from 12 noon to 7pm.
All items will be for sale, including all current Spring / Summer 2009 collection items and samples from Fall / Winter 2009, fixtures, furniture, art, office equipment, etc.”

So long, Yoko D, I will wear my jersey blazer and cardigan in honor of you.
